Atlas of Exfoliative Cytopathology With Histopathologic Correlations PDF Free Download
It is my true pleasure to write a foreword to this outstanding work, which is destined to serve as a trusty guide in a large and important field of non-gynecological cytopathology. Atlas of Exfoliative Cytopathology With Histopathologic Correlations covers the wide spectrum of cytological findings in a well-organized format. The volume is divided into six chapters. A treasure of more than 500 high-resolution images illustrates the cytomorphologic characteristics and the differential diagnostic challenges associated with exfoliative cytology across different organ systems. The exquisite figures catch the essentials of a specific condition and each of them is supplemented by a concise description. Beyond morphology, the authors have also incorporated contemporary immunohistochemistry and histological correlations that further enrich our understanding. Urinary tract and gynecologic cytopathology specimens have been excluded as two previous volumes in the series have already broadly covered those topics. This Atlas has grown out of the fruitful ground of the Johns Hopkins Division of Cytopathology, where Dr. Ali and his team of co-authors are internationally well known as brilliant teachers and cytopathologists dedicated to moving the field forward. Although there is no shortage of textbooks, atlases and virtual image databases in the field of cytopathology, Atlas of Exfoliative Cytopathology With Histopathologic Correlations stands out as a most practical volume tailored to assist cytopathologists in their daily diagnostic work irrespective of their level of experience. Besides enjoying the perfume of newly printed book pages, many of us will appreciate having this kind of atlas within easy reach. The authors should be congratulated on this excellent contribution.
